Eleanor Gentry

ERIC IS AN EXCELLENT TRAINER! He is very knowledgeable about the body and can easily explain how the exercises improve the body’s functions. Eric demonstrates what he wants me to do, which helps me to use the proper muscles and form to make the exercises more effective. He has shown me how important it is to work-out regularly.

 Prior to February 2011, I had never taken the initiative to do any sort of physical activity. I joined River Oaks Fitness on a whim and my goal was only to get back to pre-college weight by LOSING 30 POUNDS, not ever thinking it was truly achievable. I was pleasantly surprised to see results and was able to reach my goal in a matter of about 4 months. Now almost 6 months since I've started, I don't think I'll ever stop since I find training with Jacob fun and have a new found love for fitness and results

I began training with Jacob Rodriguez approximately six months ago at River Oaks Fitness. Before I go into Jacob’s specific qualities as a trainer, it may be worth mentioning why I decided to begin working with him.  I had been exercising on my own for over ten years, however, my workouts had become mundane and predictable and most importantly - ineffective.                                              

Jacob seemed to intuitively know how to push me beyond what I thought I could do without going overboard or getting in my face.  He showed creativity in the workouts by including both traditional types of exercises: bench press, lunges, and curls, along with newer exercises, at least to me, which engaged various muscle groups.  The exercises themselves were often varied, and during the last six months, the workouts never seemed routine or boring. I can honestly say that I am in better physical shape now than I have ever been in, and I know that Jacob has played an instrumental role in my living a much healthier lifestyle. With his guidance and support, I was able to decrease my percentage of body fat from 20 to 10% in the last six months. I hope this brief letter paints the picture I intended—one of an ENCOURAGING, CREATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL trainer who is dedicated to helping people make positive changes in their lives.  I highly recommend him as a personal trainer whether you are picking up a dumbbell for the first time, or if you’ve trained for years and are looking to take your training to the next level.

Aarin’s encouragement, focus and coaching gave me the confidence to believe I could actually achieve my goals, and more. Because of Aarin’s efforts and my desire and dedication to sticking to the plan, I continue to improve my nutrition, fitness level and understanding of what I am doing and why. In fact, the entire MyFit gym staff and Personal Trainers are very supportive and encouraging of me and my efforts. The program was flexible, and took into account my crazy schedule and also my health issues such as asthma and diabetes.  My results:  In just over 10 weeks Aarin has helped me reduce my body fat by over 10%. Aarin’s dedication, professionalism and relaxed yet passionate approach allow me to enjoy my trips to the gym! Aarin’s efforts have given me A BETTER OUTLOOK ON LIFE, and as a single father I now feel much better about my chances of having the opportunity to see my 10 year old daughter grow up and become the beautiful woman I know she is capable of becoming.  Even better, when I bring my daughter with me sometimes to my appointment with Aarin, she sees the example Aarin and I are setting. My daughter thinks Aarin is a nice guy, and that he is muscular.  It’s all good if my daughter likes him!
